Janey is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and has been involved in the construction industry for over 40 years. She has extensive experience and is a recognised Adjudicator, Arbitrator and RICS accredited Expert Witness with an impressive track record.

Janey has wide experience in construction contracts specialising in providing contract advice to contractors and consultants in the construction industry, and in dispute resolution in the roles of Adjudicator and Arbitrator. She has been heavily involved in and has advised in a number of major construction projects in Scotland.

Janey qualified with a Masters Degree in Construction Law from the University of Strathclyde in 1997. She has extensive and varied experience in resolving disputes and provides expert evidence in the areas of quantum in relation to construction contract claims for extension of time and loss and expense; contract administration and professional negligence on a variety of complex building, engineering and renewable energy sector projects.

Janey is a recognised authority in adjudication, both in practice and through researching trends in adjudication since 1998 with Glasgow Caledonian University (until 2012) and since then with the support of the Adjudication Society. She has published several articles on the subject and regularly contributes to construction journals and conferences.
